VoIP-GSM Gateways

Introduction

Reaching a network transparently ensures rich QoS (Quality of Service) and helps eliminating the huge interconnection charges. A GSM-VoIP gateway can provide the requisite interfaces to access the widespread GSM network and low-tariff VoIP networks directly. The Matrix GSM-VoIP gateway offers integrated interfaces for GSM/3G and VoIP networks. With Matrix ETERNITY one can scale up to as many as 32 GSM ports. The high-density VoIP card provides up to 32 simultaneous VoIP channels per card. With Universal Slot Architecture, the VoIP card can be scaled in equivalence to the maximum number of slots available with the ETERNITY variant. The count of simultaneous VoIP calls increases by a multiple of 32, per VoIP card added. These modular gateways come in varied configurations, with built-in support for multi-port Auto Attendant, in-depth Call Records, DDI and advanced Least Cost Routing Algorithms.

Matrix ETERNITY is a family of GSM-VoIP gateways, encompassing varied port configurations to match the uneven and varying requirements. Matrix ETERNITY can be used with any brand of PBX or even in a stand-alone mode.

Multi-Port GSM Gateway card in ETERNITY offers interfaces for multiple GSM Ports(3G) with distinct SIM card support on each port. ETERNITY with multi-port GSM gateway dynamically routes the outgoing calls through respective service provider networks effecting cost saving and improved Quality of Service (QoS). ETERNITY GSM Card also routes incoming GSM calls from different service provider networks to the destined users. ETERNITY GSM card with Least Cost Routing feature offers the organization the opportunity to take an advantage of the competitive tariff schemes offered by different service providers.

The most tangible benefit of Matrix ETERNITY is the significant reduction in the telephony cost. There are many opportunities for savings without compromising the quality of connection. Closed User Group (CUG) is one such case where mobile companies allow free calling amongst a group of specified users. The CUG SIM/RUIM Card can be inserted in the Matrix ETERNITY allowing all the PBX users to make and receive free calls to their colleagues who are not in the office – traveling, at home, on vacation, at plant or at a customer site.

Multi-Channel VoIP Gateway card in ETERNITY offers intrinsic benefits of cost and flexibility using the most advanced Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based Internet telephony. Matrix ETERNITY VoIP Card is designed to support both Peer-to-Peer and Registrar/Proxy supported calls. The VoIP card can also be configured to establish calls (Peer-to-Peer) between offices using the existing data network infrastructure. ETERNITY VoIP card supports a range of voice Codecs ensuring Quality of Service (QoS) and efficient utilization of bandwidth. Matrix ETERNITY offers VoIP connectivity with multiple ITSP servers giving flexibility of using separate ITSP for each country/region like USA, Europe, etc. VoIP can also be used to provide free calling between different locations of a company – head office, branch offices, factories, warehouses, etc.

Mobile users can stay connected with the office wherever they go. Existing Mobile (GSM or 3G) can work as an extension of the gateway. With SIP Client support of Mobile can work as an IP extension which is geographically not limited. These will replace the need of DECT phones completely because of the obvious advantages of wider range of connectivity, simple implementation and cost.

Matrix ETERNITY is very easy to install and operate. Built-in web-server allows the system engineer to configure various parameters locally or remotely using any Internet browser. Antenna mixer (4 to 1) is built-in each GSM/3G Card and hence only one or two antenna are required per card.
