Matrix Transforms Communication Landscape for CHARUSAT with Dedicated Modern Features in a Multi Location Solution.

The University is one of the most recognized and revered institutions amongst science and technology enthusiasts. The institution’s enrollment grew due to its effective education methods, rendering the old communication technology in its buildings obsolete. Additionally, the university was planned to expand with the new academic year, making way for modern communication technology to unify communication across multi-located buildings and offices.

 To elaborate on their challenges:

• Redundant and low-capacity system: The system proved to be outdated and of low capacity to carry the communication load across offices in the same and multi-located institutions.
• Communication across Multi Location offices: The University was also undergoing an expansion, by setting up a new building, that was located distantly but needed to be connected seamlessly to the main building
• Upgradation: Short of modern features like Multi-party Conferencing, Unified Services for Mobility, etc give them a reason to modernize their outdated communication system.
• Scalability and Redundancy: They required a solution capable of effortlessly adjusting to future needs, ensuring smooth scalability for upcoming applications. Additionally, including redundancy (backup) was crucial to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Matrix Comsec, in collaboration with Rutvi System, carefully analyzed the issues encountered by the university authorities. Working together, they developed a customized, Multi Location solution. The suggested approach focused on enhancing and expanding the current infrastructure by incorporating Matrix Telecom Solutions. This involved implementing a Hybrid IP PBX and integrating a Media Gateway to streamline communication processes and ready them for future needs.

The Matrix solution includes:

• The Hybrid PBX, ETERNITY LENX, was housed at location 1 under the University complex. In addition to the Digital key phone, multiple analog phones were connected in location 1.
• Location 1 was connected to location 2 through IP. The ETERNITY LENX with SARVAM Gateway ENT enabled an arrangement of PRI Gateway from location 1 delegating an IP connection to ETERNITY MENX of location 2. A set of Digital key phones and multiple analog phones were connected in location 2. 
• The Matrix Multi Location Communication solution seamlessly integrated both locations while simultaneously providing a set of modern communication features. This leads to improved adaptability and versatility within the organization, providing optimal advantages for contemporary communication requirements.

The implemented solution allowed them to enjoy the advantages of modern communication features while facilitating seamless communication across their expanded infrastructure.

• The Hybrid PBX Systems, ETERNITY MENX16SAC, and ETERNITY LENX27SDC enabled a user scalability capacity of up to 2000 IP Users, making them future-ready. Additionally, a feature of the Hot Swappable Card ensured uninterrupted operation and easy maintenance. The Redundancy provided ensured high availability and continuity of communication.
• The SARVAM Gateway ENT License enabled them to use SARVAM as a Unified Communication Server and Gateway simultaneously, this eliminates additional investments.
• EON510 – Premium Digital Key phone comes with next-gen call amenities like Global Directory Integration, and Advanced Call Routing. This helped the institution to make the best out of these modern features by enhancing employee productivity and efficiency.  
• A Multi Location solution by Matrix enabled the University to seamlessly connect multiple buildings. The modern communication features enabled them to become efficient and future-ready.
